Virtual Reality LOTO Simulator

Includes a simple LOTO scenario along with an opportunity to perform a group lockout implementation.
Why is effective LOTO training so important?
Workers servicing or maintaining machines or equipment may be seriously injured or killed if hazardous energy is not properly controlled. Injuries resulting from the failure to control hazardous energy during maintenance activities can be serious or fatal! Injuries may include electrocution, burns, crushing, cutting, lacerating, amputating, or fracturing body parts, and others. In fact, the average lockout/tagout related injury will require 24 workdays away from work to recuperate. That's why it's important to only have employees who are properly trained in controlling hazardous energy performing lockout/tagout.
What is hazardous energy?
The types of energy sources that need to be controlled will include:
Why consider VR?
A 2015 study published in the International Journal of Injury Control and Safety Promotion found VR/AR training more effective than traditional classroom training. Students also showed improved knowledge retention and recall. Similar results for memory retention were found in a 2018 study from University of Maryland researchers, published in the journal Virtual Reality.
What hardware will I need?
This simulator was specifically designed to operate on:
